Ida Mae Icenbice

   Ida Mae Icenbice 75, died November 21, 2008 at her home in Sigourney, Iowa. She was born March 19, 1933 to Fredrick and Nellie Wallerich Mewes in Sigourney, Iowa. She attended Sigourney High School. On July 25, 1969 she married William D. Icenbice at the Methodist Church in Sigourney. She was employed at Kingsbury Homes until 1972. Ida Mae was a home care provider for many years and later was employed at the Keokuk County Hospital as a housekeeper retiring in 1996. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and Martha’s Circle.
  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, step-son Jim Icenbice, great-grandson William Karr, two brothers Charles and Jim Mewes, and two sisters Alberta Jasper and Betty Mewes.
  Those left to mourn her passing are her step children Susan Stull of Webster, Rodger Icenbice of Iowa City, George Williams of Green Castle, Indiana, three grandchildren Becky Karr, Jennifer Icenbice, Amanda Stull, three great grandchildren Joseph Karr, Shawn Icenbice, Daelin Nettles, and one brother Donald Mewes of Mt. Pleasant.

Funeral Service: Tuesday 10:30 at the Holm Funeral Home Sigourney, Iowa
Visitation: Monday 4:00 – 7:00 P.M.
Burial: Golden Rod Cemetery Deep River
