Rose Mahan

Rose M. Mahan, 94, died June 14, 2023, at the English Valley Care Center in North English, Iowa. She was born May 8, 1929, in Tennessee to Frank and Bessie McLain Cavin. She attended school in Ollie and received her GED from Kirkwood Community College. On November 3, 1946, she married Richard Lindy Mahan in Sigourney. Rose and Richard made their in North English in 1964. She was a homemaker and worked part time for Pioneer. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, growing roses and quilting.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard October 25, 2009, son Dan Mahan, two sisters Shirley Murray and Francis Peart, brother Roger Cavin and great granddaughter Grace.

She is survived by her children, daughter Linda Scott of North English, three sons Donald and his wife Lynda Mahan of Manchester, Terry Mahan of Keota, R.J. and his wife Michelle Mahan of Ladora, 12 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.
