Albert Conrad

Albert John Conrad, 96, died August 23, 2016 at the Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney, Iowa. He was born May 15, 1920 to Albert John and Cecilia Mary Allar Conrad near Sigourney, Iowa. He graduated from Delta High School in 1938. Albert served in the United State Army Air Corps during World War II in India. On February 12, 1947 he married Ruth Ilene Luers in Kinross, Iowa. They lived and farmed east of Sigourney and he did carpentry work. They moved into Sigourney in 1985. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Sigourney.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Anthony Conrad and Elmer Conrad.

He is survived by his wife Ruth, two daughters Diana (David) Malon of Naperville, Illinois, Connie (Neill) Kroeger of LeClaire, Iowa, three grandsons Christopher Malon, Thomas Kroeger (Tarin Smithline) and Patrick (Leah) Kroeger, one great grandchild Sadie Olive Kroeger.
