Carroll D. Krier passed away at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on February 25, 2025. He was born on October 25, 1932, to Jacob August and Erma Parkhill Krier near Sigourney. He graduated from Sigourney High School in 1950. Carroll served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He attended the University of Iowa where he met Nancy Paulson. On December 20, 1958, he married Nancy. Carroll and Nancy settled with their family in Cedar Rapids in 1973. He was employed by Rockwell Collins and later the U.S. Defense Department as a Quality Control agent for over 30 years. Carroll enjoyed gardening, fishing, traveling with Nancy and loved attending his Navel Reunion. Carroll is survived by his children, daughter, Kathleen Moorehead and granddaughters, Megan and Melissa, of Maple Valley, WA; his son, Craig Krier, and daughter, Amy Krier, of Cedar Rapids, brother-in-law James (Janette) Paulson, nieces and nephews and his little dog Sammie.
He was preceded in death by her parents, his wife Nancy on August 7, 2010, two bothers Earl Krier and Glen Krier.
Graveside services: March 8, 2025, 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Pennington Cemetery south of Sigourney, Iowa.
No visitation.
