As of this day September 5, 2017 Collen C. Davis, 78, went to her heavenly home. She was born February 9, 1939 near Keswick, Iowa to George Lloyd and Wanda (Walsh) Pendleton. She graduated from Thornburg High School in 1957. In 1959, she married Doc Spain and to that union, 3 children were born: Terry (Sheri) Spain of Brighton, Barry Spain and Pam Fisher of Des Moines, Sherry Spain of Oskaloosa. This union later ended in divorce. In 1984, she married Don Davis and his 4 children: Keith (Tracy) Davis of Sigourney, Jeff (Erica) Davis of Keswick, Tina (Chad) Little of What Cheer, and D.J. (April) Davis of Sigourney.
Collen was a warm-hearted and outgoing person with an infectious laugh. She loved to share her life with all of her family and loved to host many family gatherings in which she cooked lots of wonderful food. She was a fantastic cook as well as a very creative and crafty person. She liked to sew her own creations and spend time shopping with family and friends for just the perfect craft to embellish her home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Delbert Pendleton, and step-granddaughter Shelby Davis.
Collen leaves behind her children and step-children as well as 5 grandchildren: Taylor, Randy, Braden, Rachel and Becky and 7 step- grandchildren: Sydney, Sierra, Bailey, Katlyn, Delanie, Carson, and Abby as well as 3 great-grandchildren: Bryce, Vivian, and Kinnick. Collen also leaves behind her husband, Don.
Visitation Thursday 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney
