Dorothy H. Dyson

Dorothy Helen Dyson, 92, died May 28, 2014 at the Manor House in Sigourney, Iowa. She was born September 20, 1921 to George Andrew and Alta Mae Martin Cassens in rural Keokuk County. She graduated from 8th grade from Stoney Point Country School. On June 3, 1944 she married Glenn Eugene Dyson . They lived and farmed East of Stoney Point, in 1972 they bought a farm and moved to Green City, Missouri. In 2004 they retired and moved back to Sigourney and have resided at the Manor House since 2011. She was a member of the Stoney Point Hustler and attended the English River Church of the Brethren.
She was preceded by her children Carolyn Sue, Twila, Richard "Ricky" Glenn, and sister Henrietta Yaeger.
She is survived by Glenn Eugene Dyson, her husband of nearly 70 years. She is also survived by her daughter, Marilyn Jeanette (Rev. Paul) Thompson, her granddaughters, Rev. Susannah Leigh (Dr.Richard) DeBenedetto, Rebekah Jane (Jon) Matzenbacher, and her great granddaughter, Ella Marie Matzenbacher, and many nieces and nephews.
