Elpha Aller, 87 of Sigourney, died Thursday at home following a sudden illness. She was born September 3, 1921 near Fremont, Iowa to Howard and Ada Alexander Spears. She attended Country School near Fremont. On June 27, 1938, she married Dale Morris Aller in Lancaster, Mo. They lived and farmed south of Sigourney for many years, and moved into Sigourney in 1966. She worked at the Benner Grocery Store, and many of the local restaurants. For the past 30 years she worked at the Senior Center serving as cook for many years. She was a member of the Lancaster Christian Church.
Surviving are her children Richard (Jessie) Aller of Fayette, Phyllis (Ron) Hoffman and Rodger( Sharon) Aller both of Sigourney, 7 grandchildren, Ricky and Delmar Aller, Rebecca Becker, Chris and C.C. Hoffman, Kim Louden, and Teri Dillon, 23 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, a sister Nadine Mason, of Sigourney, and a niece Donna Jean Husband.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dale, on January 16, 2007, her parents, and 2 grandsons.
Services 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Lancaster Christian Church.
Burial Pennington Cemetery near Sigourney.
Visitation after 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney.
