Marguerite Catherine Seaba, 86, died March 19, 2020 at her home in Sigourney, Iowa. She was born February 20, 1934 to Wendell and Monica (Mona) Rhettler Mallinger near Ollie, Iowa. She graduated from Ollie High School in 1953. On April 20, 1954 she married Denis Seaba at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Sigourney. Marguerite and Denis were the first couple married at the newly built church. Marguerite was employed at Bales Nursing Home, Kingsberry Homes until 1980 and then at the Sigourney Care Center for 40 years. She bowled for many years on the Pinbuster mixed league. For over 40 years on Sundays they enjoyed dancing the jitterbug, waltzes, polkas and two stepping. She enjoyed cooking and keeping house. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Altar and Rosary Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Bob Mallinger, two sister- in- laws Bonnie Mallinger and Geraldine Pacha, daughter-in-law Peggy Sue Seaba.
She is survived by her husband Denis Seaba, son David Seaba of Sigourney, granddaughter April Seaba of Ottumwa great -grandson Kennedy Seaba - Wilkinson of Fairfield, niece Kathy Mallinger Lee of Ottumwa, great niece Karolyn (TJ) Lee Nydle of Rock Island.
Her body was donated to the University of Iowa deeded body program and there will be services at a later time.
