Mary Beth Spitzer

Mary Beth Spitzer, 79, of Melrose, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in Centerville, Iowa. She was born October 20, 1933 in Hedrick, Iowa. She graduated from Hedrick High School. She lived in the Ottumwa-Albia area all of her life, most recently at Melrose. She owned and operated antique/second hand stores in the area. On January 13, 1980, she married Ronald Helm in Schuyler Co. Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two infant daughters, and a grandson Richard Tanner.

She is survived by her husband Ronald Helm of Melrose, her children David Andrews, Mary Beth Andrews, Valorie Smith all of California, Steve Spitzer of Lexington, Kentucky, Lance Evans of Melrose, six grandchildren and three brothers Dale, John, and Don Mills.
