Mary Utterback Clubb

Gwyneth Mary Utterback Clubb 96, died May 20, 2024, at Windsor Place Senior Living in Sigourney. She was born July 24, 1927 to Harry Rufus and Hazel Montgomery Thomas near Oskaloosa, Iowa. She attended school at Rose Hill.  Mary was employed at the Overall Factory in Oskaloosa, Mom’s Cafe in Delta and Creek Water Joe’s On December17, 1952, she married Hal Dean Utterback in Oskaloosa. He died May 17, 1987. She later married William “Bill” Clubb on July 21, 1990 in Sigourney. He died February 13, 2010.  Mary later worked as a nurse’s aide at the Care Center and Public Heath as a homemaker.  Mary was a very talented baker, she made many beautiful wedding and birthday cakes. She enjoyed flowers, gardening and canning her produce. Mary enjoyed going to the Farmers Market with her baked good, sewing and taking care of her grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, two sons David Bunnell, Michael Lynn Clubb, her siblings Peggy Utt, George Thomas, Chuck Thomas and Pearl Baird.

She is survived by her children Curtis (Lorita) Bunnell of Oskaloosa, Kevin (LuAnn) Utterback of Oskaloosa, Craig (Maureen) Utterback of Sigourney, 14 grandchildren, many great- grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, two sisters Patricia Decker of Oskaloosa and Marchita Hawk of Oskaloosa.
