Max Michel

Max Marvin Michel, 85, died November 18, 2022 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinic. He was born May 29, 1937 to Harry and Cleta Derby Michel in Sigourney, Iowa. He graduated from Sigourney High School in 1955. On June 28, 1959 he married Donna Richardson at United Methodist Church in Sigourney. Max was drafted in to the United States Army and he served two years. He worked as a carpenter with his dad and started to farm in the Martinsburg area. He later worked for Gary Wareham as a carpenter until his retirement.  Max enjoyed spending time with his family and genealogy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Cloyd Michel, Phil Michel, one sister Doris Stevenson.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years Donna, son Ben Michel of Sigourney, daughter Katie Dunwoody of Moberly, MO, granddaughter Ellie and one brother Rex Michel.
