Myron Bernard Herman

April 16, 1930 — April 9, 2018

Myron Bernard Herman, 87, died April 9, 2018 in Washington, Iowa. He was born April 16, 1930 to Anton C. and Anna M. Schulte Herman near Harper, Iowa.  He graduated from St. Elizabeth School in Harper, Iowa. Myron served in the United States Army. He lived and farmed Southwest of Harper all of his life.  On November 30, 1974 he married Elva Lee Peters at St. Pius Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. He enjoyed gardening, ceramics, painting and art. He was a member of Holy Trinity Parish in Keota.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Elmer Herman, Omer (Clara) Herman, Howard Herman, two sisters Lorene Herman and Bernadine (John) Van Otegham, brother in laws John Snakenberg, Allen Balvin, Calvin Eden, Robert Soukup, Eddie Kubik and Ed Peters, sister in laws Nelda (Eddie) Kiracofe and Velma Eden.

He is survived by his wife Elva, sister Marcella Snakenberg of Sigourney, sister in laws Cecila Herman of Sigourney, Josephine Balvin of Cedar Rapids, Bonnie Kubik of Walker, Judy Soukup of Marion, Rachel (Dean) Willis of Marion, Juanita Eden of Framingham, MA, Rebecca (Steve) Vlcko of Cedar Rapids and many nieces and nephews.
