Robert Probst

Robert LaRue Probst died peacefully March 29, 2025, at his home in Delta, Iowa with his partner of twenty years by his side. He was born on May 24, 1961, to Mary Janice Green and Robert Probst in California. He graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 1979 and earned four degrees in Industrial Maintenance at Indian Hills Community College. Bob worked several jobs in Oskaloosa for 30 years including Clow Valve. He worked at Marriott Hotel Inn and Suites in Coralville, Iowa. While he and Kristi lived in Branson Missouri he worked for several seasons for different contractors. Robert enjoyed tinkering around and fixing things, and loved his trained cat named Tibbs, they would go on walks around the property line together where they would watch the birds. Bob was always happy even on a rainy day. His favorite saying was “My God what a beautiful day.” He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents

He is survived by spouse Kristi Applegate, daughters Sara Probst and Ashley Probst, grandchildren, stepson Aaron Applegate, Sisters Chritsta Morton, Terry Probst, Aunt LaDonna Green, Cousins Barb Fisher and Margie Stout, and a special nephew Nathan Smith.
