Stacy Sterrett

Stacy Lea Sterrett, 40, died September 7, 2014. She was born November 16, 1973 to Dennis and Vernelda Heisdorffer Sterrett in Sigourney, Iowa. She graduated from Sigourney High School in 1992, graduated from William Penn College and later received her Masters from Iowa State. She taught at Winfield - Mt. Union and Marshalltown and was a driver's education instructor. Stacy served in the Iowa Air National Guard and the United Stated Air Force from 1993 - 2010. She was currently employed at Job Corps as a transition counselor in Ottumwa. Stacy enjoyed making memories with her son Ian, camping, fishing and working on her bucket list.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Donald and Venida Sterett and Leonard and Esther Heisdorffer.
She is survived by her son Ian Richard - Sterrett of Des Moines, her parents Dennis and Vernelda Sterrett of Harper, Sister Shelly (George) Wetzel of Senoia, Georgia and a brother Anthony Sterrett of North Liberty.

Funeral Service: Friday 10:30 A.M. St. Mary Catholic Church Sigourney
Burial: Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Sigourney
Visitation: Thursday 5:00-7:00 with a Prayer Service at 4:00 P.M. at the Holm Funeral Home

A memorial fund has been established for her son.
